Obituary

Alta Mae Radford, 91, of East Ridge passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024. She was a member of East Ridge Church of the Nazarene for 66 years where she sang in the church choir, was Missionary Secretary and had served on the church board. Ms. Radford was a graduate of Central High School class of 1950 and had retired from Bell South after 36 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert R. and Edna Shaffer Masters; brother, Richard Masters and two sisters, Margie Moore and Mary Lou Gunter.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Radford (C.L.) Leigh and Donna Radford McAllister; four grandchildren, Deana (Mike) Johnston, Kim Parker, Janel Gaston-Oxford and Cameron McAllister; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Raymond Masters; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Charles Knight officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Thursday, February 29 and from 11 AM – 1 PM Friday, March 1 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to East Ridge Church of the Nazarene.
