Obituary

Barbara J. Baker McCune, formerly of Albany, Indiana, passed away February 19, 2024 peacefully at her home in the company of her family in Ellenton, Florida.
Barbara (Barb or Bobbie) was born in Jay County on October 7, 1929, a daughter of the late Mabel (Besser) and Charles Vincent.  She was a graduate of Indiana Business college and was in the banking business most of her working years.  She began her career at the Albany State Bank in the early 1960’s and continued until her retirement from First Merchants Bank in 1992, Albany.  Barbara was a member of Mt. Tabor Methodist Church in Dunkirk, had attended Seventh-day Adventist Church in Muncie and most recently in Palmetto, Florida.
Barbara is survived by her 3 children, Cheryl Reynard of Easley, SC, Sonia Wilson (Denny) of Redkey, Indiana, Bill Barker (Brenda) of Ellenton and Parrish, Florida (and were her caretakers for the last year).  5 grandchildren, Richelle Reynolds of Redkey, IN, Alyssa Casey (Jared) of Las Vegas, NV, Derek Wilson (Angela) of Albany, IN, and Andy Blount (Amanda) of Easley, SC.  6 great-grandchildren, Hannah Patrick of DeWitt, VA, Tanner Reynolds (Sara) of Albany, IN, Hayleigh Wilson (Andy Davidson) of Westfield, IN, Cameren Wilson of Muncie, IN, Kenlee Calvert of Redkey, IN, and Hudson Blount of Easley, SC.  1 great-great grandson, Luke Reynolds of Albany, Indiana as well as 3 nieces.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands Richard W Baker in 1998 and James (Jim) McCune in 2012, grandson Chris Blount, son-in-law Jerry Reynard, sister and brother-in-law Donna M and William (Bill) Jones, brother and sister-in-law Gerald and Helen Vincent, 1 niece Kayla Huntzinger, 1 nephew Don Jones, and one infant sister Daphna Vincent.
A private graveside service will be held on March 29, 2024 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana.
