Obituary

Barbara “Gail” Meyer passed away peacefully in Jacksonville on January 20, 2024 at the age of 71.

Gail was born on October 19, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida to Frank and Barbara Meyer. She graduated from Englewood High School in 1970. 

In the late 70’s, she spent several years in Aspen, Colorado working for the Aspen Times newspaper. It was here in Aspen she became a loyal servant of God. 

In 1980, Gail became a resident of Daytona Beach, Florida where she lived for nearly 30 years before returning to Jacksonville. Throughout Gail’s life, she was an avid reader, a creative writer, and passionate about spreading the word of God.

As the second of eight children, Gail is preceded in death by her father, Frank “Frankie”, and brother, Robert “Robbie”. She is survived by her loving mother Barbara, sisters Brenda and Lori, and brothers Haden, Bill, Bert, and Paul.

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 29, 2024, 2:00 pm at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Road.
