Barbara A. Pecnik, aged 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 12:15 PM at Mercy Hospital in Coconut Grove, Florida. Born on October 7, 1941, in New York, NY, Barbara eventually made her home in Miami, FL, where she created a life filled with love, adventure, and cherished family memories.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Pecnik, who was not only her travel partner but also the love of her life. Together, they explored the world, sharing their life experiences and creating a bond that was an inspiration to all who knew them. Although Barbara did not have children of her own, she is survived by her beloved godchild and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members, including many cherished sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, with whom she shared countless treasured moments and mutual care. Her family was the center of her world, and she touched their lives with her love and warmth.
Preceding Barbara in death were her beloved brother Richie Fusaro, sister Theresa Cade, twin brothers Pat and Paul Fusaro, and her parents, Mary Lauria Fusaro and Joseph Fusaro. Their memories will live on through the stories and love that Barbara carried forward.
Barbara's life was filled with passion and dedication. She was an avid traveler, always eager to experience the world with Frank. Her heart was full of love, and she was deeply devoted to her family and friends. Barbara was known for her incredible talent as an entertainer and was celebrated as one of the best Italian cooks, bringing joy and delicious meals to countless gatherings.
Barbara's personality was a shining light to those around her. She was full of love, always dedicated to the well-being and happiness of her loved ones. Her heart of gold touched many lives, and her legacy of love and joy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A viewing will be held at Vista Memorial Gardens, located at 14200 NW 57th Ave, Miami Lakes, FL, on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Following the viewing, a burial procession will take Barbara to the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL, at 6501 South State Road 7, where her graveside services will be held.
Barbara A. Pecnik's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and living life to the fullest. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
