Obituary
Beatrice Elaine Greening passed away in Portland, Oregon on
June 29, 2026.
Beatrice was born on July 14, 1933, in Canton, Texas to
William Thomas Smith and Olla Estelle Boykin. She was raised in Roswell, New
Mexico where she attended junior high.
She moved to Sandy, Oregon where she was a homemaker, a
business owner, and above all, a devoted mother who raised her four kids,
before retiring to Happy Valley, Oregon.
She loved her family and she loved her artwork. She would
attend art clubs in both Portland Gresham. She was also a member of Sandy
Baptist and Good Shepard Church.
She is survived by her son Carl Brinkley &
daughter-in-law, Heidi Brinkley; her daughters Vona Baughman and Gwen Belmant;
granddaughters Cherise Brinkley, Linsey Baughman and Denise Brinkley/Johnson;
grandsons Jerry Brinkley and Nathan Baughnab; grandkids Toby, Jenny and Tyler;
granddaughter in law Katya Bear; great-granddaughters Haliey Sheldon and Brooke
Baughman; great-grandsons Eric Sheldon, Cole Sheldon and Aiden Archuleta.
Bea was preceded in death by her son Roy Brinkley and
daughter-in-law Sherry Brinkley and grandsons Bobby Brinkley and Jamie Brinkley.
A celebration of Beatrice’s life will be held at Sandy
Funeral Home on August 12, 2026, at 11am.
