Obituary

Betty J. Sadler, 92, was born on October 15, 1931 in Jacksonville, FL and passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at her home surrounded by her two daughters.

Betty was a long-time member of East Pointe Church. She loved to sew, crochet and knit. She also loved traveling in their motor home with her husband, Bob, and long-time friends Dan and Nan Dobbs, working with the SOWER Ministry providing volunteer help to Christian ministries.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Percy and Edith (Ezell) Thompson, her husband of 60 years Jesse (Bob) Sadler, two brothers Billy (Mary) Thompson, Jimmy (Jane) Thompson, and sister Margaret Jones.

Betty is survived by her children, Gary (Valerie) Sadler, Terry (Leroy) Mika, and Pam (Frank) Oshman. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Darren (Jennifer) Johnson, Nicholas (Michelle) Johnson, Michelle (Bill) Bruce, Kimberly Sadler, Ashley (Cole) Chafin, Kahla (Michael) Jurney and Abbey Oshman; thirteen great grandchildren, Harbin, Madlynne, Cameron, Jacob, Kaysen, Maddox, Tanner, Nathan, Devin, Dean, Faith, Graysen and Frankie. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family with all her heart.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8th at 10:00 followed by her Celebration of Life service at 11:00 AM at East Pointe Church, 270 Kernan Boulevard North with Dr. David Patrick officiating. Flowers are welcome to be sent to the church prior to visitation. Or in lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be sent to East Pointe Church in memory of Betty Sadler.
