Obituary
Carl Martin passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at the age of 81. Born May 20, 1942 to Lawrence and Barbara (Clary) Martin in Lansing, Michigan. Carl was a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School class of 1960. He went on to enlist in the US Army where he was honorably discharged. Carl returned home and went to work for the United States Postal Service. He retired in 2000. Carl volunteered as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader and was a member of the Greater Lansing Optimist Club. He was a man of faith and had previously served as a Deacon at Valley Farms Church.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Dona May Martin; children, Donald (Cathe) Martin, Carla (Ted) Wilborn, Jolene (Stephen) Wheeler, Sean (Kristen) Martin; grandchildren, Justin (Courtney) Wilborn, Zackery Wilborn, Deanna (Raquel) Martin-Sanchez, Rachel Martin, Kayla (Michele) Martin as well as many nieces, nephews and cousin Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel, 101 W. Jolly Road, Lansing, Michigan 48910. Family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 4444 W. Grand River Ave., Lansing, Michigan 48906.
