Obituary

Carolyn E. Hill, 86, of Florence died Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home.
Visitation will be Saturday, 11 AM to 12 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 12 PM in the chapel with Dennis Hargett officiating. Burial will be private at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, James Hill; son, Gary Hill; parents, George Hardy and Estelle Edwards; three brothers; two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Sherry Posey (Ricky) and Larry Hill (Martha); grandchildren, Charles Hill, Angie Lash (Robbie), Marissa Gatlin (Andrew), Leigh Byers (Jeremy), and Jay Posey (Maggie); great grandchildren, Austin Lash, Hunter Lash, Brantley Gatlin, Braelyn Gatlin, Kenleigh Byers, Karlee Anne Byers, Kennedy Byers, Wheeler Posey, Wales Posey, and Wally Jack Posey.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Mitchell Hollingsworth and Shoals Hospice for their care and kindness.
