Obituary
Carrol Platz Jr., a long-time resident of Sandy and Gresham Oregon, passed away on April 25th 2025.
Carrol graduated from Sandy High School and then furthered his education at the University of Oregon where he majored in Biology and General studies. He married the love of his love Carolyn (Nelson) Platz. He moved his small family down to Texas to begin his life career in genetic research. He worked at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas A&M before returning to Boring Oregon. He started his own business in animal reproduction and as an owner operator he worked there until he retired. This business was well known in the world of wild animal and canine reproduction.
Carrol loved to fish, hunt, build, read and play games but most of all he loved his family. His family was his everything and they loved their Papa.
Carrol is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Carolyn Platz; his brother Mike Platz, his son Joe and daughter-in-law Becky and their three children Noah, Joy and Sam; his daughter Carrie and her two children Ella and Andrew. Carrol is preceded in death by his younger brother John Platz, his own son John Platz and his son-in-law Tim Werner.
Carrol will be missed and always forever loved.
