Obituary
Catherine Lutrell Johnson, 95, of New Smyrna Beach, FL passed away on February 23, 2024. A Florida native, she was born on March 5, 1928 in Bradenton, FL to parents Jesse and Alma (nee Goff) Glisson. Lutrell grew up in Tallahassee and graduated from Leon High School. Lutrell worked at the state capital for a period of time before she met her future husband, Paul A. Johnson, at a church youth camp in Blountstown, FL. Paul and Lutrell married in Tallahassee and had 3 boys.
Lutrell was known as an avid seamstress and a great cook. She was a great Christian woman, who loved her family and her faith. She loved being a homemaker and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lutrell is survived by her children; Ronald Paul (Sandy) Johnson, Larry Stephen (Lisa) Johnson, Andrew Murray (Janet) Johnson. There are 9 grandchildren: Jordan, Justin, Joel, Jarrett, Lindsay, Lisabeth, Leanza, Allison, and Anna, as well as 29 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. She is also survived by sisters; Ruth Johnson of Port Orange, FL and Annette Lindsey of Tallahassee.
Lutrell is predeceased by her husband, Paul A. Johnson, her parents, Jesse and Alma Glisson, her brother Floyd Glisson, and her sister Jean Sowell.
