Obituary

Cherryl Stevens Moyer, 77, widow of Raymond F. Moyer, Jr., went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 10, 2024. She was the daughter of the late James Thomas and Lucy Gross Stevens. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
She was a long-time member of Roanoke Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and animals, but her favorite pastime was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Cherryl will be missed and remembered by her children, Wendy M. Williams and her husband, Terrell, Carmen Wymer, Angela R. Mundy and her husband, Jimmy, Ramie F. Moyer, Jamie M. Arnett and her husband, Jon, and Steven C. Moyer; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Puckett; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Kingery officiating. Interment will follow at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke.
