Cheryl Lynn Nunnery

January 2nd, 1949 - February 20th, 2024

Obituary

Cheryl Nunnery, age 75, of Leesburg, AL, passed on February 20, 2024, surrounded by family and friends in her home. Cheryl was born to the late Edward and Mary Chaffin of Farmington, New Mexico on January 2, 1949 in McPherson, Kansas. Although she did not graduate High School, she had an extraordinary life.
In her 75 years she was a "Jill of all trades". She tried her hand at food industry, truck driving, to being an oil well operator in Texas, but her true calling was the medical field. She served almost 30 years and retired from Gadsden Regional Medical Center in 2020 as a Certified Nurse Tech/call operator.
Cheryl is survived by four children, Mystery Lancaster, Edward Daugherty, David Nunnery, and Patricia Long all of Leesburg, AL. She is blessed with 11 grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. She was immensly proud of her family, friends, and leaves memories, love, laughter, and a great life.
Besides being a fierce Mama Bear, she loved cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, fishing, and pulling off pranks. She has been known to do a little motorcycle riding and drag racing with friends and family. She will be greatly missed.
