Christopher Alan Walker

Obituary

There will be a Graveside Service at 12pm, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Crestwood Cemetery for Christopher Alan Walker, age 50, formerly of Glencoe. Chris passed away on Friday March 15, 2024. The family will receive friends at the Crestwood Funeral Home from 11am until 12pm prior to the graveside service. Rev. Daniel Barkley will officiate. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct service.
Chris was born and raised in Glencoe, AL and was a class of 1992 graduate of Glencoe High School. While in high school he was an avid basketball player and was awarded All County and All Area. He enjoyed golf, Clemson football, and NASCAR. He will be remembered as a gentle soul that was kind and caring, and had the ability to make friends with most everyone he met. 
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Jessie and Jimmie Walker and James "Son" and Dorothy Pierce. 
Chris is survived by his daughter Jordan Walker and her half sister Anna Stanley,  parents Ann and Arnold Walker; sisters Pam ( Jeff ) Stanley and Angela  (Joe) Hansen; nieces and nephews Jessica Stanley (Krystal), Ryan Stanley (Kayla), Rachel Cole (Garret), and Ariel Cole; great nephew Kason Cole; great niece Payton Stanley; special sister Jamie (Jason) Roberts; and many friends and extended family. 
Pallbearers will be Lee Slaten, Jason Floyd, Tracy McMurray, Dalton Roberts, Chad Blevins, Austin Blevins, Ashton Gulledge, and Will Clemons. 

Honorary pallbearers are the Nurses and staff of Jacksonville Rehabilitation, Jason Tyree of Jacksonville Fire and Rescue, and Emily Peppers RN.
The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
