Obituary
Pending...Conrado Arango, best known as Pastor Lino, aged 83 passed away peacefully in his
sleep on June 3 rd . Conrado went by many names of endearment - Lino, Pastor Lino,
Papa, Abuelo, Tio Lino, and among the youngest members of the family ‘Tio Lindo’.
Pastor Lino was born on September 23, 1939 in Havana Cuba. He was the youngest
of four, Carito, Rita, and Mario. After his parents passed away, he was raised by
his sister Rita Maria Gonzalez, (who was 15 and he was 9). When Rita married
Pedro Carral in 1953, Lino was 14. Then Pedro and Rita raised Lino together. Even
though he lost his parents at a young age, he was not left without loving parents.
As a young man in Cuba, he worked at a family-owned business and after completing
his studies worked as an accountant. He had had many interesting experiences
which he enjoyed sharing with his friends and family.
While in Cuba, he met the love of his life and future wife, Raquel Flores. They had
three children while in Cuba: Juan Moses Arango, Julio Conrado Arango, and Noemi
Arango. In 1971 they emigrated to the United States – living in Georgia, Texas,
New Jersey and finally settling in Florida. Then the four grandchildren came while
in America: Natalie Christina Acosta, Jonatan Ros Acosta, John Michael Arango,
and Brayvon Marquis Young. Lastly, in 2019, he became a great grandfather to
Avery Kristopher Lewis Jr.
Lino moved on to his true passion in 1978 while living in San Antonio, Texas, where
he completed his Bible Studies Degree and started his first full-time role as an
Associate Pastor at Igelisia de Senor.
In 2006, Pastor Lino and Raquel Arango retired to spend time with their grandchild
Jonatan, before he passed away in October 2007. Pastor Lino never retired as a
Pastor because the life of a minister is never ending. He spent his time in
retirement traveling, especially visiting his sister Rita’s family in Orlando. Rita and
Pedro had three children, Bertha, Pedro, and Juana and Tio Lino enjoyed spending
time with them and their children. After Tio Lino’s wife Raquel passed away in
2014, the Carral family ensured to adore and spoil Tio Lino more than ever before.
A visit to Orlando never went without a stop to visit his son and daughter-in-law
Julio and Dolores West in Port Saint Lucie, who also ensured to adore him.
Pastor Lino treasured his life as a pastor and being with his family. If he was not
with his family or at home watching his favorite action movies, he was ministering
to those in need of his guidance. He will truly be missed by friends and family alike.
