Obituary
Dana Christine Hemid died peacefully on July 5, 2024, at
Advent Health Hospital in Tampa Florida, one day short of her 72nd birthday.
Dana Hemid is survived by her husband of 36 years Bahaa
Hemid and her 3 children Manuel Troche of Jersey City, New Jersey, Ingrid Alers
of Riverview, Florida and Aaron Troche of Torrington, Connecticut and her 3
grandchildren Jenesis Troche, Tyler Troche and Frances Alers.
She was born on July 6, 1952, in Jersey City, New
Jersey. She graduated from Monroe
Business Institute in New York and became an office manager and executive
secretary for upper management at Cosmopolitan Magazine. After working in several different magazine
companies for over 30 years, she retired and moved to Tampa, Florida in
2010.
Shortly after arriving in Florida, she attended a Bible
Study at The Crossing Church where many of her wounds were attended to and she
received freedom. She accepted Jesus as
her Lord and Savior, was baptized and quickly became active and involved in
service in the Church. She was a
dedicated member of the Intercessors, had a women’s life group and served as a
greeter, welcoming others into the Lord’s house with a huge smile.
Dana will be forever known for her great love of her family,
friends and the Lord, her compassion for those in need and her great-tasting
cheesecake.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at 6pm on Thursday July 11th at Serenity Meadows, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview. A memorial service will take place at for 7:00 pm. All
are welcome to attend and Celebrate Dana Hemid’s life.
Her family would like to express their gratitude for the
unwavering support and prayers they have received from all during this
difficult time.
