Obituary

David Gregory Gunter passed away at a hospital in Gresham with his family by his side on Monday, August 24, 2026. He was 43 years old.

David was born on February 16, 1983, in Portland to parents Donald and Melody Gunter. He was raised in Eagle Creek and attended local schools, graduating from Estacada High School with the class of 2001. He continued his education at Clackamas Community College on a scholarship, studying the welding trade. While David was married, and though they later separated, they were blessed with two beautiful children. He was devoted to his career, taking great pride in his long-term work with Canron. He loved the welding industry until health circumstances brought his career to an end.

David had a passion for fishing, rock and roll music, and football—he was an avid Ducks supporter and a proud member of Raider Nation. Most importantly, he cherished his family and adored being a father.

He is survived by his children, Owen and Ella; his mother, Melody; his sister, Christina (Kevin); his nephew, Hunter; and his best friend, Chris.
