I had the pleasure of meeting Deanna at Bess Maxwell School in the late 90's. Deanna was so kind to everyone. She was such a happy lady with a great sense of humor and had many interesting stories to tell. I was so sad to hear of her passing and I know she will be missed by many. What a blessing to have known Deanna!

I will be forever grateful that I knew and loved Deanna. She was gracious and kind to every single person she encountered. I met Deanna while I taught at Bess Maxwell. Her examples of interacting with both special needs children and those in "regular " ed provided me with a master class in loving & effective communication. I will always be grateful that Deanna was a part of my life. Sue Pass Susan Pass
She was a wonderful beautiful person, fun to talk with and hear her stories from her youth in San Pedro to the kids today. Both my wife and I loved her very much, also so did my mother in law Lucy. She loved spending time with her. Stephanie has a very nice photo for us to see. The photo is hard for me to look at, it makes me sad, but she will always be in my heart. . Rudy Cendejas

I was lucky enough to meet Deanna while we both were teaching the special needs kids at Bess Maxwell. She may not have thought of herself as a teacher but she taught me and our students so much. Oh. She really was a bright light in the classroom and the kindest woman. You knew when she asked how you were she really wanted to know. Dixie Goode
