Obituary

Debra "Debbie" McDonald (Buice) passed away on May 2, 2024, at the age of 70. Born May 10, 1953, she was a lifelong resident of Hokes Bluff. Preceded in death by her parents John and Opal Buice, joined now together in Heaven. She was the loving mother of Jeremy McDonald and Robby McDonald; grandmother to Caitlin McDonald Hankins, and Drake McDonald. Debbie will be greatly missed by close friends and family who loved her dearly. 
Debbie will be remembered for her kindness and positive impact upon those around her. She brought comfort and joy by being a light to those in need. Through her selfless acts of generosity, she made a meaningful difference in the lives of all who knew her. 
 Celebration of life will be announced at a later time. 
A special thank you to the nurses and staff of Hospice of West Alabama. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Humane Society Pet Rescue and Adoption Center of Etowah County.
