Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dollie Ruth Snyder on March 1, 2024. Dollie passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by her loving family.
Dollie was born on July 4, 1937, in Oak Hill, Ohio, to her beloved parents Elmer and Elsie (Kuhn) Howard. She spent her formative years in Oak Hill, where she cultivated the values of compassion, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family.
In 1965, Dollie and her beloved husband, David Snyder, made their home in Albany, Indiana, where they lived for 59 wonderful years. It was in Albany that Dollie truly blossomed, embracing her role as a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished member of the community.
Dollie's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of love, kindness, and creativity. She had a passion for quilting that brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Her hands crafted works of art that not only kept loved ones warm but also served as tangible expressions of her boundless love and affection.
In addition to quilting, Dollie found immense pleasure in the simple joys of cooking and gardening. Her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of delicious homemade meals, lovingly prepared to nourish the bodies and souls of those she held dear. Dollie's green thumb transformed her garden into a vibrant oasis of color and life, where she lovingly tended to her flowers and vegetables with care and dedication.
Dollie was a woman of deep faith and was actively involved in her church communities throughout her life. She once attended Dunkirk Nazarene Church and was a devoted member of Forest Park Church of the Nazarene. Her faith was the guiding light that illuminated her path, and she found solace and strength in her relationship with God.
Dollie shared 67 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, David Snyder. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. David was her rock, her confidant, and her closest companion, and their bond was a true testament to the power of enduring love.
