Obituary
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather has gone to a more celestial place. He was 79. Recitation of the rosary will be held 6:00 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Estacada Funeral Chapel followed by a funeral mass 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Burial will be at George Pioneer Cemetery. Donald was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on very snowy day November 17, 1940. Don loved farming, at age 5, his family moved to town. At age 7, he worked on his uncles farm driving tractors and trucks because he didn’t need a license then. He also pitched hay. He married Sharon in 1960 in Grand Forks and moved to Estacada in 1964 where they raised their 4 children and had a small farm. For 28 years, Don worked for Safeway stores as a baker. He was an avid race car fan and drove a stock car on the Grand Forks Race Track. He loved camping and fishing at Lost Lake. Survivors include is wife, Sharon; children, Denise (Pat) Roshak, Dan (Brandy) Korynta, Darrin Korynta, Sheila (Ray) Rask; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He will be very missed by all.
