OBITUARY
Don W. McDade
AUGUST 6, 1939 – FEBRUARY 2, 2024

Donald Wilburn McDade, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 2, 2024.
Mr. McDade was born and raised in Chattanooga. He graduated from Tyner High School Class of 1957 and was President of Tennessee Plywood & Door. Don was a longtime member of Silverdale Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Class teacher and helped to establish the audio/video programs. He was a member of the Chattanooga Half Century Club where he served as past president and treasurer, and also the Chattanooga Quarterback Club where he served as a past president.
Don was inducted into the UTC 2002 Hall of Fame for his service as the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga athletic filmer and videographer for over 25 years. Don also served Tyner High School and Silverdale Baptist Church as a sports filmer and videographer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Butchie and Pearl McDade; daughter-in-law, Connie McDade; brothers, Charles, B.F. “Scrappy” McDade; and sister, Priscilla Oldham.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Patricia McDade; children, Tim (Tammy) McDade, Lynne (Randy) Henry and Lee McDade; grandchildren, Blake (Ryan) McDade, Ian (Kellie) McDade, Jared (Leslie) McDade and Andrew Henry; great-grandchildren, Parker, Baker, and Macie McDade; brothers, John McDade and Bobby (Gloria) McDade; sister, Virginia (Sam) McMurray; brother-in-law, Don Oldham; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 and Wednesday from 12 Noon to 1 PM at the funeral home
A private family service and burial will follow.
