Obituary
Mrs. Doris Louise Pulliam passed away and into the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on the late evening of Sunday, October 22, 2023. She was 91 years old. Doris was born February 27, 1932 in Warren County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Dessie Lee (Bullington) and Ervin Elihue Hendricks.
Doris married James Estel Pulliam May 15, 1948 in Kentucky and moved to Indiana 1952. Shortly after they both gave their hearts to the Lord, they established East Side Full Gospel Church where they pastored and served together until James’ death in 1998. She served the church as Music Director and Sunday School teacher. She loved playing guitar and singing for their congregation.
During this time, Doris also worked and retired from Best Lock Corporation. She enjoyed being an Avon representative however, her biggest joy outside of her service for Christ was gardening. She was passionate about growing and canning vegetables and enjoyed planting and cultivating flowers.
On September 12, 1999, she married Fred Bremmer and they enjoyed over seven years of marriage until Fred passed away January 24, 2007.
Doris is survived by her children, Roger Quentin Pulliam and his wife Connie, Marsha Diane Vasses and her husband Louie, James Allen Pulliam and his wife Dian, as well as her step son, Fred Bremmer Jr. and wife his Sandi (deceased).
Doris is also survived by nine grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Doris will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 pm, Monday, October 30, 2023 at Gracepoint Church, 330 W. Whiteland Road, New Whiteland, IN. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Washington Park East in Indianapolis at a later date.
