Dorothy Watenpool

Obituary

Dorothy A. Watenpool, age 83, of Hampton Township, on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Clyde Richard Watenpool. Loving mother of Richard (Amy) Watenpool and Randolph (late Cathy) Watenpool. Sister of Anthony (Rose) Loskoch, Debbie (late Charles) Zelhart and the late Linda Christner. Cherished grandmother of Richard (Katherine) Watenpool, Cory (Julianna) Watenpool and Katie Jean Watenpool. Also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Addison, Emily, James, Finn, Rex, Cathy, and Reagan.
Friends received Monday 11-12 p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Gibsonia, where services will follow visitation at 12 p.m. with Pastor Anthony Schneck officiating. Interment will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
Dorothy was a 1957 graduate of Mars High School and worked as a Postal Carrier for the Gibsonia Post Office for 33 years. She was a lifelong and devoted member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, where she volunteered with the Thrift Shop, various women's groups, and St. John's Lutheran Home in Mars. Dorothy spent many years with her late husband, Clyde, on motorcycle trips and helping with sporting clay shoots. Most of all she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at Concordia of Cranberry for the wonderful care given to Dorothy these past years.
