Memories & Tributes

I worked with Dr. Rolando "Roly" DeCastro in Product Research & Development, United Drug Company in Mandaluyong, Rizal, Philippines, from 1959 to 1965. I met his sister Zeny and a younger brother-artist who sometimes dropped by our work place. Rolly migrated to the U S ahead of me. My first and last phone conversation with him in the U S took place during his visit to Los Angeles in the early 70's. Rolly was a consummate artist, wrote well, driven, people- and results-oriented. For many years I kept the caricature he did of me, including his entry for the Operation Quick Count (OQC) Contest regarding a presidential election in the Philippines. It saddens me to learn of his passing. I will keep him and his family in my prayers. Paterno Aspiras
