Obituary

Ed was born in Waukegan, IL on December 28, 1937 to Anselmi and Rachel Koivisto. He traveled on a train at about the age of 4 years old with family to Portland, OR where his father found work in the shipyards during WW2.

In his early teen years, he trusted Jesus Christ as his savior. For the rest of his life he lived for Him. He graduated from Benson Highschool, Class of 1956 and he served for 8 years in the National Guard.

He was married on June 3, 1972, to Janice Miles. To this union two boys were born, Jason and Kevin Koivisto.

Ed enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. He provided for his family while working with the phone company for 30 years.

Ed was a member of his local church, Portland Open Bible.

Preceding him in death are his parents Anselmi and Rachel Koivisto and his brother Reuben. He is survived by his wife Janice, his 2 sons Jason and Kevin and 3 grandchildren, Miranda, Mikayla and Ethan.
