Obituary
Evelyn Lee Northcutt, age 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
Evelyn was born on March 19, 1927, in Morrison, Tennessee, to Trice and Myrtle McMahan
Bailey.
Mrs. Northcutt is survived by one brother, Lanier Bailey (Betty) Parker City, IN, one sister,
Eunice Reynard, Indianapolis, IN, and four sons: Michael Northcutt (Priscilla) Horizon City, TX,
Mark Northcutt (Krystal) Canton, GA, Matt Northcutt (Kelly) Muncie, IN, and Monte Northcutt
(Julie) Selma, IN.
Evelyn leaves behind 14 grandchildren Amy Atkinson (Brian) Canton, GA, Angela Williams
(Eric) Washington, DC, Amanda Budill (Joe) Round Lake, IL, Richie Northcutt (Nicole)
Greenville, SC, Kyle Northcutt (Patricia) Muncie, IN, Greyson Peters, Canton, GA, Zach (Yawni)
Sterling, Muncie, IN, Kortney Jennings (Jarred) Muncie, IN, Dean Northcutt, (fiancé) Jordyn
Headley) Muncie, IN, Ashley Sterling, Muncie, IN, Garret Peters, Canton, GA, Koltan Northcutt
(Hannah) Lafayette, IN, Audrey Northcutt, Canton, GA, and Kristin Northcutt, Selma, IN.
She leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren, Colin Budill, Talia Northcutt, Ethan Northcutt, Baxter
Northcutt, Mia Budill, Violet Northcutt, Shamir Northcutt, Eliot Northcutt, Elijah Northcutt,
Addison Sterling, Zayden Sterling, and Eloise Northcutt.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Harold Northcutt, son, Max
Northcutt, great-grandson Liam Budill, and parents, Trice and Myrtle Bailey.
Mrs. Northcutt graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1945. She attended
Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. Evelyn held several jobs throughout her life,
but the two that meant the most to her were being a part of the cafeteria staff at Monroe Central
Jr/Sr High School and cleaning houses with her Aunt Polly Light.
Evelyn was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and shared her love of God with everyone
she met. What brought her the most joy was her family and faith in God.
Calling will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Funeral services will
be on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 12 p.m., with calling 1 hour prior to the service. Both will
be held at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, IN 47303. Burial will
follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery 10703 North Old State Road 3, Muncie, IN 47303.
