Obituary

Fred (Pete) Cochran Jr., of Altoona, passed away on March 21, 2024. Visitation will be 2 until 4 pm Sunday March 24,2024, at Crestwood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Fred will be remembered as a generous person, and a loving family man. He was a hard worker and retired from USDA as an inspector. He collected older Datsun automobiles, loved fishing, and all Auburn sports. He was loved tremendously and will be missed dearly.Preceded by his wife Barbara Cochran; daughter Freida Phillips; grandson Corporal Matthew Phillips; parents Fred and Louise Cochran; brothers, Billy, Rodney, James; sisters, Annette, Julia, and Opie; his beloved Jack Russell .Survived by children, Mary (Marty) Weldon; Fred (Jenny) Cochran; sisters Martha (Benny) Foxx, Kathy Cochran, Sharon (Joe) Burden, Glenda (Bill) Robertshaw; grandchildren Mary (Perry) Nix, Jessica (Blake) Minor, Heather (Michael) Chandler, Ashley (Hunter) Dickie, Miranda Cochran, Eve Phillips, 12 great grandchildren and large extended family. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Walls and Steve Fox.
