Obituary
Graveside service will be 2pm Monday, April 22, 2024 at Crestwood Cemetery for Glenda Simmons, age 88, formerly of Gadsden and most recently of Orange Beach, AL. Mrs. Simmons passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024. Bert Cothran will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct services.
Glenda lived in Gadsden her whole life until October 2018 when she moved to live by her children in Orange Beach, AL. Glenda attended College Heights Baptist Church where she served her Lord and Savior and the church family. She was a primary caregiver in their later years to her mother and father in law, her mother , and her aunt. She loved her career as a full time beautician. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She loved flowers and working in her yard.
She is survived by son Tony Simmons and Rhoda; daughter Lisa Keenum and David; son Hunter Simmons and Lindsey; grandchildren Carly Kyper and Ernie, Casey Fant and Brian; Tyler Lockridge, Conner Simmons, and Sawyer Simmons; great grandchildren Levi Baker and Maddie Baker.

The family will receive friends at Crestwood Funeral Home prior to the Graveside service from 1pm until 1:45 pm on Monday.
