Harriet E Bloesch

Obituary

Harriet Evelyn Bloesch, 91 passed away peacefully Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Halifax Health Hospice Care Center-Port Orange.

Harriet was born June 16, 1931, in North Bergen, NJ, the youngest daughter of Herman Steinel and Laura Frances Bradford. She married George C Bloesch May 5, 1951 and they had 55 years together before George’s death in 2006.

Besides being the most loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, Great grandmother and Friend, she also will be remembered as a past President of PTO, Girl Scout Leader, Salvation Army Volunteer and a member of Bowling leagues and card groups. She loved wii bowling and was an avid Bingo player. She loved Cardinals and the Bird of Paradise flower and anything chocolate (candy-cake-ice cream). Harriet will always be remembered for her Positive and selfless attitude. Her family meant everything to her, and she was especially proud to be a Great Grandmother of seven.

Even though she was born in North Bergen NJ, she lived in many places throughout her life and enjoyed making many lifelong Friends along the way, while living in Paramus NJ, Canaan CT, West Milford NJ, Rutherford, NJ, Raleigh, NC, Montville, NJ, Somers Point, NJ, Wilmington, NC and Ormond Beach, FL.

Harriet is survived by her two daughters, Jane (Robert) Chambers of Hagerstown, MD, and Lois (Paul) Bodnar of Port Orange, FL., Daughter-in-law Wilma Bloesch of Conroe TX. Three Grandchildren, Michael (Lexi) Bloesch of Walnut Creek CA, Kyle (Jamie) Bodnar of Palm Coast FL and Carly Tornelli of Port Orange FL and seven Great Grandchildren, Beau and Drew Bloesch, Abigail and Ethan Bodnar, Hailey Bodnar and Arianna Tornelli, and Cash Bloesch.

She was predeceased in death by her husband George C Bloesch, sister Muriel Weber, Sons, George and Joseph Bloesch and Grandson Alexander Bloesch.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to Halifax Health Hospice Care Center-Port Orange-3800 Woodbriar Trail-Port Orange FL 32129 Hospice Care | Halifax Health.

A celebration of Harriet’s life will be held on June 15, 2023, from 5pm until 7pm at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange- 1201 Dunlawton Avenue- Port Orange, FL

Immediate family will be scattering her cremains privately the next day, on her Birthday, June 16, 2023 (so she can be reunited with her predeceased loved ones).
