Hattie Leola Norman
NOVEMBER 20, 1950 – JANUARY 26, 2024

Hattie Leola Norman, 73, Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024.
Hattie worked as a Library clerk for the Chattanooga Public Library. Hattie was a devout Christian with a deep love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a graduate of Chattanooga State Technical Community College and The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Hattie was an avid reader of fiction, poetry and literature. She was a Book Review Blogger and Professional Reviewer for book marketing platforms, book authors, publishers, and book-based social media websites.
Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting, knitting, creative writing,, journaling, and frequenting used bookstore while traveling to other cities. Hattie adored her four sons and grandchildren who affectionately called her, “Grandma Hat.’ After retirement, her favorite parts of the year were those times when all the families would come over for the holidays and other celebrations. She loved cates,, outdoor plants and her massive collection of books. She was a sweet little lady with an unbiased heart. She didn’t pick sides but she always chose love. Her warmth and bright, infectious smile will be greatly missed.
Hattie was preceded in death by her parents Ted Harris and Ola lee (Woodard) Harris; sister Dorothy Lorraine Kennedy.
Hattie is survived by her husband Bill Norman of Chattanooga, TN; four sons Gerald Norman of Cookeville, TN, Michael ( LaTonya) Norman of Memphis, TN, Jarrett ( Jennifer) Norman Of Ooltewah, TN and Myron Norman of Bay Area, CA; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, in-laws and close friends.
The family will receive on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 11am to 1 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, Franklin – Strickland Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 2, 2024, in the funeral home chapel.
Interment to follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens East
