Obituary
H. LORRAINE NOSSET, 94 of Huntington, W.Va., left this earth on January 1, 2024, and is now in the arms of our loving Lord and Father in Heaven. She was born April 5, 1929, the daughter of James F. and Clara Brown Romine.
Lorraine was the widow of Don Nosset Jr., enjoying over 60-plus years of marriage to the love of her life. They met at Maynard Thomas Drugstore in 1947 and were married on July 16, 1948. Lorraine graduated from Huntington East High in 1947 and worked at Sylvania during high school. Later she worked for Anderson-Newcomb Department Store / Stone and Thomas and then for several businesses as a secretary.
Lorraine was a faithful donor to the American Red Cross, where she gave more than 10 gallons of blood during her lifetime. She was in Eastern Star and an active member of Beverly Hills United Methodist Church, where along with her husband, they were youth leaders and served as Sunday school teachers. Lorraine loved cooking, gardening and sewing. She was the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and was a great friend to all she met.
She is survived by her three children, Don Nosset III of Huntington, Sandy (Steve) Nosset Mills of Arizona, and Pam (Scott) Nosset Fulton of Huntington; four grandchildren, Michael Mills, Scott (Angel) Fulton, Brian (Kristin) Mills and Rebecca (Adam) Cremeans; 11 great-grandchildren, Ryan Mills, Naudia Cremeans, Tyson Cremeans, Ethan Mills, Adalynn Cremeans, Karsen Cremeans, Dawson Cremeans, Gabby Fulton, Ellaina Cremeans, Piersen Cremeans and Coleson Cremeans; sister Phyliss Romine Ison of Kentucky, and sister-in-law Jean (Gene) Thompson Romine Smith of Texas.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Beard Mortuary, with Pastor Eric Milam officiating. Visitation will be before the service, from 1 to 2 p.m.
