Obituary
Helen (Scott) Betts, 85, of Portland, Oregon passed away
peacefully on January 7, 2026.
She was born on May 5, 1940, in La Grande, Oregon to Rex
Scott and Winnie (Chronister) Scott.
A graduate of Gresham High School, Helen was an avid reader
and a tremendous cook. Her greatest joy was her family, and she devoted her
life to keeping loved ones close. She will always be remembered for her warmth,
wisdom, and unwavering care for others.
Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Phillip
Betts, and her sister, Judy (Scott) Blubaum. She is survived by her sister, May
(Scott) Baucom, her sons Wesley Betts and Casey Betts, two grandchildren, and
two great-grandchildren.
Honoring her wishes, Helen will be cremated and placed with
her mother. Her legacy of love and togetherness will live on in the hearts of
all who knew her.
