Obituary
Henry Lee Brown, born September 28, 1942, went to be with our Lord in Heaven on February 24, 2024, at the age of 82. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Henry was united in marriage to Dorothy, the love of his life, on October 2, 1961. Together, they created a loving family, raising four children: Damita (Steve) Martin, Peter Brown, Christy (Bill) Loftin, and Tyann (Rich) Chandler. Henry was a proud grandfather to Corrina (Justin) Piercy, Jennifer (Chris) Harwood, Christopher (Jodie) Loftin, Derrick Martin, and Ryan Brown and had the joy of being a great-grandfather to Devin Wright, Jace Piercy, Kaylynn Joy, Landon Martin, and Blake and Carson Loftin. He was also blessed with a great-great-grandchild, Navy Wright.
Henry’s work ethic and dedication to his craft were evident throughout his life. He spent many years as a logger for Simpson Logging before transitioning to a successful career in construction. His hands were skilled, and his heart was dedicated to his work.
Outside of work, Henry had a deep passion for cars. He was particularly proud of his 1956 Nomad, which he lovingly restored to pristine condition over many years. As a member of the Northern Knights Car Club, he earned numerous awards at car shows, showcasing his meticulous attention to detail and love for classic cars. Henry was often seen cruising in his Nomad, enjoying the open road and the beauty of his hard work.
Above all, Henry treasured his time with his family. He was a man of faith, and in his free time, he found great comfort and joy in reading God’s Word. His love for his family and his devotion to his faith were cornerstones of his life.
Henry leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as in the many friends and family members whose lives he touched.
Rest peacefully. You are now with the Lord, and your love and legacy will continue to guide us.
