Obituary

On February 19th, 2024 Jack “Pee Wee” Ross passed away at the age of 85.

Jack was born June 14th, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY.  He graduated from City College of New York in 1959 and soon after proudly served in the United States Army.  Jack earned the rank of a Three Stripe Sergeant in the 197th Company.  He graduated from Army training (first in his class) as a morse code interpreter.  While in the Army he continued to date the love of his life, Gloria Osdoby.  On November 17th, 1962 he took Gloria’s hand in marriage.

In December of 1969 Jack moved his family to East Windsor, New Jersey where he raised his family and built a very successful business, J. Ross Associates.  By December of 1991 Jack decided he had enough of the cold and, along with his wife Gloria, moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida.  While Jack left many good friends in New Jersey, He quickly made tons of new friends in Florida.

Jack’s love of sports began with stoop ball, a Brooklyn favorite.  He moved on to play basketball at James Madison High School and City College.  As time passed he coached many youth sports teams and continued to play baseball into his eighties.  He was a regular attendee at Met’s Spring Training and also participated in several Met’s Fantasy Camps.  While living in Cascades he was head of the stickball club and was an avid pickleball player.  His love for sports was infectious and quickly spread to his children and grandchildren.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Gloria, his two children Leslie and Craig and his three grandchildren Maxwell, Shea and Eliya, his daughter-in-law Ryan Ross and his son-in-law Russ Hazzon.
