Obituary

JoAnn Walker, 73, passed away peacefully in her home on May 1, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Clifford DeBaun and Gertrude trudy DeBaun, and her beloved husband, Stephen Walker, who passed away on May 3, 2015. JoAnn joins Stephen once again, passing just two days shy of the eleventh anniversary of his death.
Eight years ago.

JoAnn moved to Ocean Park seeking a fresh start and a place to heal. In that journey, she fell in love with the coast and the wonderful community she was proud to call friends. She was a spiritual person with a big heart, JoAnn’s love for nature and the water stayed with her throughout her life. She was an avid traveler who loved to explore and had a lifelong passion for music.
JoAnn never lost her drive to give back, frequently donating her time to the community. She was a truly good person who will be deeply missed by the many friends and family members whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her daughter, Alicia Walker Mayo and husband Stewart; her son, Harrison Walker; and her granddaughter, Ingrid Mayo. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Christine Rogers and husband Tim; nephews Steve Rogers (children Aiden and Mason) and Ben Rogers and wife Chrissy (children Gage and Kaitlyn) and her Brother Clifford A. DeBaun daughters Michelle and Christian DeBaun, both of Miami, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in JoAnn’s memory to her local animal rescue clinic (South Pacific County Humane Society in Long Beach, WA 98631)
