Kennon Ruth Hatt

Obituary

Kennon Ruth Hatt, formerly from Michigan, was born on August 11, 1928, and passed away on February 18, 2024 at the age of 95 in Spring Hill, Tennessee.  Kennon was born in Union City, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late Coy Roosevelt Hastings and Sarah Lee Bolton Hastings.  Mrs. Kennon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morrell Ralph Hatt, a sister, Dorothy Odom, a brother, Marion Hastings, a son, Billy Hatt, and a daughter, Brenda Hoerner.  Mrs. Kennon loved traveling, reading books and family dinners. She enjoyed going to conventions for World War II Submarine Veterans with her late husband who proudly served in the Navy. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them!  

Mrs. Hatt is survived by her loving children, Vicki Weiler of Chapel Hill, TN, Melanie (Byron) Masso of Lansing, MI, Mark (Julie) Hatt of Nashville, GA; 6 grandchildren, Shawnda (Joey) Reynolds, Karris (Rob) Hutchison, Karmin (Jason) VanAntwerp, Andy (Ann) True, Troy Hatt and Jason Hatt; 8 great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives including her nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024 - 11:00a.m. at Mills Funeral Home - Peters & Murray Chapel, 301 E. Jefferson, Grand Ledge, MI 48837 with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment to take place directly following the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens - 4444 W. Grand River Ave. - Lansing, MI 48906.
