Obituary
Kirk Anthony Gill
was born August 31, 1978, in Crescent City, California to Dennis Gill and
Pamela Brous Gill Labans. He died December 1, 2025, succumbing to an ATV
accident on Gasquet Mountain Road. He was 47 years old.
Kirk was a lifelong
resident of Del Norte County living in Crescent City and Smith River. He
went to Del Norte Schools and after graduation went to College of the Redwoods
truck driving school where he obtained his CDL. He drove truck locally for ten
years until his eye was injured in a baseball accident. He did Handyman
work for a few years and then took classes to do security work. He worked
for several years at Jed Smith Square as a Security Guard.
Kirk is survived by
his father Dennis Gill and his wife Liz Gill, his mother Pamela Brous Labans
and her husband Gregory (Stogie) Labans, his brother Eric Gill and his wife
Theresa Gill and his beloved son Aiden Gill. He is also survived by his
Uncle David Brous and Aunt Dianne Crain and many cousins. He was preceded in
death by his long-time girlfriend Sarah Cambell, his Aunt Patty Brous Ollenburg
and his Uncle Kenny Swanson.
He is also survived
by his work family at Jed Smith Square. He loved his people and made sure they
were safe.
Kirk was happiest
when he was with his son Aiden, brother Eric and his friends out in the forests
and at the river and on the ocean. He loved to fish and hunt. He
loved his family and friends. We miss him.
