Obituary
Larry Albert "Moose" Cummins was born May 3, 1944 in Lansing, Michigan, son of the late Clyde and Ruth (Bentley) Cummins, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the age of 79. Larry graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1963 where he was a member of the Sea Explorers his senior year. Following high school he went to work for Lansing Board of Water & Light retiring in 1999 following 35 years of service. Larry was a life member of the Lansing Muzzleloading Gun Club and was also a member of the Red Cedar River Woodcarving Guild. He enjoyed woodcarving, putting together wooden model ships, muzzleloading, hunting, camping, and fishing. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sherry (Brotherton) Cummins; their two daughters, Lavonne McDevitt and Sara (Jamie) Feguer, both of Lansing; three grandchildren, Trai (Jessica) Pope of Lake Aerial, PA, Stacey (David) Diaz of Lansing, and Ashley (Tanner) Levendoski of Lansing; five great-grandchildren, Aniyah Diaz, David Diaz, Evelyn Pope, Nova Levendoski and Tanner Levendoski, Jr. along with many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Denny and Brenda Rux. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday October 19, 2023, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 11:00am until the service starts at 1:00pm. A private interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 4444 W. Grand River Ave., Lansing, MI 48906 on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 12:00.
