Leonard "Porkchop" Edward Keller
November 7, 1949 - June 16, 2024
Leonard Edward Keller, 74, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024. He was born in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, to the late Jack and Lucille Keller. Leonard was a lifelong Chattanooga area resident and of the Baptist faith. Leonard was a familiar face in the community, known for his love of talking on the CB radio and his distinctive CB handle, “Porkchop.” He was often seen in his signature boots and cowboy hats, and his passion for collecting guns, knives, and anything cast iron was well-known. He enjoyed working on race cars and antique trucks, and he liked fishing and spending time outdoors. But above all, Leonard’s family and his faith in the Lord were the cornerstones of his life. He was proud of his daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and he was always excited to talk about the things going on in their lives. His love for his family was unwavering. Leonard's presence in the community will be greatly missed.
Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lucille Keller; brother, Harold Keller; and sister, Sharon Dubois.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Melissa (Terry) Duckworth of Dalton, Georgia; sister, Brenda (Pete) Tipton of Chattanooga, Tennessee; brother, Bobby (Lynn) Keller of McDonald, TN; grandchildren Taylor (Klaus) Krueger and John (Katherine) Ball, Jr.; and great-grandchildren Karlie Krueger and Erich Krueger. Leonard was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
The family would like to mention Leonard’s special CB buddies, Double G, Big Ragu, GI Joe, Hubcap, Shaggy Dog, Jack in the Box, Bicycle Man, Triple 7, and Hi-C.
The family has arranged for a time to remember and honor Leonard. Friends and family are invited to join us on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral service, a time to celebrate Leonard's life, will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 1 p.m. Following the service, we will proceed to Lakewood Memorial Gardens—West for the burial. The family appreciates your support during this time.
