Obituary
Lester Charles Gifford
Lester Charles
Gifford was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on September 8, 1942.
He passed away
August 14, 2025 in Gasquet, California. He was a devoted husband, who was
married to Anna Mae Gifford for 58 years and 9 months. He was a loving father
of five children, Marsha Gifford, Demaris and Richard Swafford, Cheryl and Jeff
Scott, Dude Gifford, as well as Joe and Elaine Gifford. He was survived by 20
Grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Charles was a hard worker
and served for three years in the Army. He spent a number of years working in
the logging business as a logger in the lumber mills. He was also a commercial
fisherman for many years. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made
time for his family and friends.
Though Charles may
not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his many
years of fatherly love honored. Charles’ hobbies and interests helped define
who he was. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and gardening. Charles loved a
good book, and he was never without one. Charles’ stories left a mark on all
his family and friends that will never fade.
We will find comfort
in knowing that Charles’ legacy lives on through the stories and lessons he
taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
In Charles’ later
years he was never without his little Buddy Coley.
