Obituary
Lucille D. Wenman was affectionately called "Miss America", "Mama Luchi", "Mi Mama", Chuchi, and "The Baby". She was born January 6, 1929 to Anna Lubin and Fredrick Wenman. She was the only child to her beloved parents. She was born in Bayridge, New York, educated and graduated from Parker Collegiate College with an interest in business. She worked as an investor in the finance industry for years, then established her own private consultation.
She was very savvy, knowledgeable, funny, and full of life. She enjoyed traveling, different foods, dancing and having fun.
Upon retiring, she came to Florida, the Sunshine State, where she had been living for the past 2 and 1/2 years after a stroke that had caused her a setback. That did not stop her fighting to stay alive with the exceptional care of her caregivers. Lucille remained bright, oriented, and cognitive.
Little did we know on October 26th, at 1:30pm at the age of 94, and 3/4ths, she would be transitioned to meet her maker.
You took me under your wing as a daughter you never had. You taught me well.
I will never forget you, Mama. Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Take your rest in the arms of Jesus. Your friends and I love you, but Jesus loves you. Rest in peace.
