Obituary

Mrs. Maria Socorro Miller, Clayton, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022. She was 77. Maria was born May 12, 1945 in Linares Nuevo, Leon, Mexico a daughter of the late Aurelio and Santos Delgadio Villanueva.
Maria was reared and attended schools in Mexico and came to the United States in 1966. 
Maria enjoyed crocheting and solving crossword puzzles as well as shopping and cooking. She also enjoyed watching soap operas on television, especially The Young and the Restless. 
Maria is survived by her children, Hazel Miller, Ada (Mike) Farber, Mary Ann (Michael) Alstott and Jimmy (Kathy) Miller; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband, James Ray Miller; her son, Luther Miller; a grandson, Jonathan Hart as well as three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday, December 9, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with Pastor Matt Roller officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
