Obituary

Marie Holman, 98 of Martinsville passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023. She was born to the late Willie Clarence and Katie Martin. Marie was a member of Calvary Apostolic Church in Greenwood for as long as her health allowed her to attend. She was an extraordinary mother and grandmother. Marie was a Christian example to all who knew her. Her legacy of Christian faith will continue through her loved ones. 


Marie is survived by her seven children Ben Holman, David (Tonia) Holman, Roger Holman, Doug Holman, Don (Barb) Holman, Tom (Amy) Holman and Lisa (Scott) Schneekloth; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren and a brother Paul Martin. She is preceded in death by both parents; siblings Alford Martin, Mary Martin and Bertha Martin, one grandchild Shanon Doughtery; two great grandchildren Latashia Holman and David Holman III.


Visitation will be Saturday, April 8 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A celebration of Marie's life will be Saturday, April 8 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. There is a private burial for family on Friday, April 7 at 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
