Obituary
Mario Orlando Martinez passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, at the age of 45. Mario was born August 29, 1978, and raised by his parents, Richard and Elizabeth (Perez) Osawamick in Lansing, Michigan. He attended Lansing Eastern High School. Mario went on to cook food and serve his burritos and tamales at various roadside stands in the Lansing area. He was a trailblazer and one of the first in the area to sell his homemade food roadside. Mario was a sports fan and especially enjoyed watching his Dallas Cowboys and U of M Wolverines. He enjoyed cooking food and listening to music. Mario will forever be remembered for his charisma and humor. He was a momma´s boy in every way and is now reunited with her again in heaven. Mario is dearly loved and will be missed by all who remember him. Preceding him in death were his mother, Elizabeth Osawamick; sister, Rosalita Sauceda and sister-in-law, Maria Sauceda.
Surviving are his siblings, Rosie (Jesse) Arteaga, Placido Sauceda Jr., Liz Sauceda, David (Josie Lopez) Sauceda, Lucas (Jennifer Donaldson) Martinez, Ruby (Bud Mecek) Martinez, Emma Martinez, Jessica Martinez; father, Richard Osawamick, as well as his much-loved nieces, nephews, extended family , and his many friends.
Mario´s family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, February 8th at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel from 1-3 & 5-7 pm. Funeral Services will be on Friday, February 9th at 11 am at Skinner Funeral Home, 101 W. Jolly Road, Lansing, MI 48910. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 4444 W. Grand River Ave., Lansing, MI 48906.
