Obituary

Mrs. Marla Jeanne Turner, Greenwood, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, November 22, 2023. She was 85. Marla was born December 5, 1937 in Nashville, Indiana, a daughter of the late Clovis and Helen (Condon) Schrougham.
Marla attended Clark Township High School in Franklin, Indiana and was a member of the graduating Class of 1956. She had been employed for many years with General Motors in the customer service department.
Marla enjoyed working crossword puzzles and was a loyal fan of the Indianapolis Colts. She loved cats, especially her beloved Daisy.
Marla is survived by her daughter, Tamara (Steve) Jones; her grandchildren, Brian Jones, Jennifer Jones and Samantha (Isaac) Walker; her great-grandchildren, Brenden (Rebecca) Jones, Blake Jones, Kara Jones, Ava Jones, Eliza Walker and Aurora Sterrett; her son-in-law, Matthew Byerley; her brother, Donald (Lynne) Schrougham as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her daughter, Terryl Byerley and a grandson, Eric Sterrett.
There are no public services planned and she will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested those be offered to the Johnson County Humane Society, Greenwood, Indiana.
