Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Tuck, 77, of Akron, Ohio went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, on August 13, 1946, to the late John Howard Jr. and Patricia Absalom. Mary had five children with her former husband, Charles - Gennie, Terri, Theresa (Tommy), Charlie and David (Crystal) - and was blessed to have many others who called her mom, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend, and her favorite, Grandma Mary.
Mary was the epitome of the stay-at-home PTA mom while raising her children and welcomed all their friends into her home. She later started her professional career as an apartment leasing manager at Fir Hill Towers. After retiring, she spent many years volunteering at the Hower House and working for the Board of Elections at the voting polls. Her hobbies included needlepoint, crocheting, reading, and enjoying her family.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 28th from 1:30-4:00 pm at The Venue on Tallmadge Circle where she will be remembered with much love.
