In Loving Memory of

Maynard Lamar Clark

November 12th, 1932 - August 4th, 2022

Obituary

Maynard L. Clark, 89, of Indianapolis went home to the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Franciscan Hospital.
He was born on the farm in DeKalb County, Ind., on November 11, 1932, to Clifford and Vivian Clark.

Maynard is survived by his loving daughter Linda (David), and son Kevin. Maynard is also survived by his three grandchildren, Casey, David and Chad. They were the center of his world and "papaw's" greatest pride.

He was married to Mary Ann for nearly 43 years before she passed away in 2005.

Maynard is a veteran of the Korean War. He served in the Navy for 20 years as a chief petty officer. During his service, he traveled across the world from East Asia to Guam and the Mediterranean and everywhere in between. After he retired from the Navy, Maynard served as a federal police officer for the U.S. Post Office in Indianapolis for 20 years, until his retirement. He loved to share stories from his lifetime of adventure. He ensured his family could see the world, too. Maynard never knew a stranger, and his boisterous spirit will forever be remembered by those who loved him. His unfaltering spirit of generosity, sound advice and love for his family will continue to be imparted.

He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with full military honors.

Condolences may be offered at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood.
