Obituary

LEESBURG, FL - Michael Vernond Osborn, 77, of
Leesburg, Florida passed away on April 17, 2022.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, April
30, 2022 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501
N State Rd. 3, Muncie, Indiana 47303. Visitation
will be held at 11:00am, April 30, 2022 at Garden
View Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral
at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Michael was born in Muncie, Indiana on 9-10-
1944. He graduated from Muncie Central High
School and continued to receive a Bachelor’s degree
from Indiana University.

Michael was married to Shirley Foreman-Osborn
on 9-9-1962. They were married 60 years.

Michael was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War.

Michael worked as a Technical Support Engineer
for GTE/Verizon, retiring after 25 years, then Alcatel/ Lucent, retiring after 20 years. He was active
as a little league baseball coach, Boy Scout master,
church youth leader, and Sunday school teacher.
Michael enjoyed vacationing with family, fishing
trips to Canada, and writing books.

Michael is survived by wife Shirley, son Daniel
and Virginia Osborn, daughter-in-law Cherry
Osborn, grandson Joshua Osborn, sisters Linda
and Chuck Wood, Pat and Dale Husk.

Michael is preceded in death by son Kenneth
V. Osborn (October 26, 2021), father Kenneth R.
Osborn, mother Muriel Conner-Osborn.

Memorial gifts may be given to St. Jude Children
Hospital.
