Pete Gaston
FEBRUARY 24, 1935 – DECEMBER 14, 2023

Carl David “Pete” Gaston, 88 of Chattanooga passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 with his loving and devoted wife by his side.
Pete was of the Baptist faith and attended New Liberty Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Central High School class of 1953 and worked at the Chattanooga Times Free Press until 1975. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. Pete had worked as the Property Manager for Stone Edge Condos on Lookout Mountain until his retirement in 2000.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Bertha Vaughn Gaston; daughter, Denise Fisher; brothers, Robert Gaston and Burton Gaston and a sister, Jean Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Gaston; brother, Fred (Joyce) Gaston; granddaughters, Ashley Williams and Randi Fisher; niece Rosemary (Curtis) Sloan; nephews, John (Julia), Tom (Terrie), Andrew (Becky), Greg (Debbie) and Jerry Gaston; extended family, Blake (Starr) Gaston and family, Tab (Debbie) Barrow and family; Ron (Gina) Barrow and family, Scott (Sarah) Ridley and family Butch (Karen) Simpson and family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, January 8, 2024 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN with the Rev. Danny Henson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
Pallbearers will be Ron Barrow, Tab Barrow, Butch Simpson, Tom Gaston, John Gaston and Andrew Gaston.
