Obituary
Ralph Glen Goins Jr. of Sandy, Oregon was born to Juanita and Ralph Goins Sr. on September 9, 1951, in Bishop, California.
Ralph moved around a lot during his childhood finally landing in the Sandy area for the remainder of his life. Ralph graduated from Sandy High School in 1970, in high school he worked pumping fuel at Shorty’s Corner. Ralph joined the Army Reserves in 1970-1976 during that time he married his first wife Julie Ann Fleischman (Sandy, Or) from 1971-1986. Ralph and Julie had two daughters, Amie and Emily.
Ralph worked at PGE for 40 years as a truck driver then moving into the office as a Service & Design Estimator until his retirement. Ralph married Marie Swanson (Portland, Or) in 1989. Ralph was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing on his boat, clamming, smoking meat, and camping. Ralph and Marie traveled all over and spent most of their vacations in their motorhome camping.
Ralph enjoyed spending time with family and friends and telling stories about the good ole days, he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Marie Goins (Sandy, Or) and his two daughters, Amie Hankel (Boring, Or) and Emily Stetner (Gresham, Or). Son-In Law, Brandon Stetner (Gresham, Or). Grandchildren, Colby and Cami Hankel (Boring, Or) and Gage and Colton Stetner (Gresham, Or). Sister, Judy Dovre (Oregon City, Or) and Brother Roy Goins (Columbus, Ohio).
Ralph’s family will be having a celebration of life on April 5, 2025 from 1 – 5 p.m. at Mountain View Golf Course in Boring, OR.
